Biden speech LIVE today – President slams Trump’s Taliban deal & says he wouldn’t extend ‘forever war’ in Afghanistan

Serving Nebraska / Covering The World
JOE Biden is speaking from the White House today after America ended its longest war on Monday saying he would not extend the “forever war” in Afghanistan.
President Biden addressed the nation at 2:45pm ET from the White House.
Biden digged at former president Donald Trump saying that some of the prisoners released during his term now run the Taliban in Kabul.
The remarks come after the U.S. completed its withdrawal from Afghanistan, ending America’s longest war and closing a chapter in military history likely to be remembered for colossal failures, unfulfilled promises and a frantic final exit that cost the lives of more than 180 Afghans and 13 U.S. service members.
Air Force transport planes carried a remaining contingent of troops from Kabul airport late Monday.
Thousands of troops had spent a harrowing two weeks protecting the airlift of tens of thousands of Afghans, Americans, and others seeking to escape a country once again ruled by Taliban militants.
Biden was also slammed for referring top aide Cedric Richmond, who is black, as “boy”.
“I’m here with my senior adviser and boy who knows Louisiana very, very well and New Orleans, Cedric Richmond,” Biden said at a FEMA press briefing, according to Fox News.

BIDEN’S THREAT
“THE UNITED STATES WILL NEVER REST. WE WILL NOT FORGIVE. WE WILL NOT FORGET. WE WILL HUNT YOUR DOWN TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH AND YOU WILL PAY THE ULTIMATE PRICE,” says Biden to anyone who threatends the United States, reiterating a point he made last week.
FLORIDA REP CALLS BIDEN TO RESIGN
Florida Rep Byron Donalds issued a statement calling for Biden to resign over his “haphazard decision to withdraw from Afghanistan.”
“President Joseph R Biden has abdicated his responsibility and duties entrusted to him as President of the United States,” the statement read.
“This blatant abdication of his office is grounds for President Biden to resign immediately.”
NOT JUST ABOUT AFGHANISTAN
Biden’s decision to remove troops is to “remake other countries,” not just Afghanistan.
CONTINUE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM
Biden plans to continue fighting terrorism without American boots on the ground.
AVOIDING AFGHANISTAN QUESTIONS
He was likely referring to the moment the president was delivering a talk to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) about Hurricane Ida on Sunday during a press conference when a reporter started to ask, “On Afghanistan …”
“I’m not going to answer Afghanistan now,” Biden responded, before turning away from the press to talk to FEMA staff.
He would also not answer questions about whether or not there was still “an extreme risk” at the airport in Kabul, days after 13 US service members were killed in Afghanistan.
WHAT IF
Biden asks what if’s about the war in Afghanistan.
He asks if Yemen had attacked on 9/11, would the US ever go to war in Afghanistan?
He says probably not.
“It was time to end this war.”
‘EVERYTHING HAD CHANGED’
Biden addressed those who believe he should have stayed in Afghanistan indefinitely.
He asks “What is the vital national interest?” to those people.
‘I TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DECISION’
Biden says that he “take responsibility for the decision” and disagrees with those who say he should have began evacuating sooner.

FAR FROM DONE
Biden calls for “grateful prayer” for those who carried out the airlift mission and says the US is “far from done.”
17 DAYS
In the 17 days the US operated in Kabul, Biden claims he offered every American the opportunity to leave.
“No other country” has compared to the US in airlifting citizens in danger.
5000 PRISONERS RELEASED
Biden brings up former president Donald Trump who oversaw the release of 5000 prisoners in Afghanistan.
Biden claims that the Taliban was the strongest it has ever been when he got into office.
COMMITTMENTS
Biden, along with other countries, has acknowledged a committment by the Taliban to reopen the Kabul airport and allow for free passage for those who want to leave Afghanistan, which Biden intends to see through.
PELOSI SLAMMED
Representatives took to social media to admonish Speaker Pelosi after a chaotic departure of United States troops and their allies from Afghanistan over the past few weeks.
“I’m here at the Capitol because there’s a crisis going on. WHERE is Nancy Pelosi?” Representative Ronny Jackson of Texas wrote on Twitter on Monday.
“Americans are still TRAPPED in Afghanistan, including #TX13 constituents. The State Department isn’t helping them get out and the Taliban has threatened them. SERIOUS work needs to get done! Now!”
That same day, the last US C-17 aircraft left Hamid Karzai International Airport just before midnight local time, according to CNN.
AMERICANS LEFT BEHIND
Biden addressed the 100-200 Americans left in Afghanistan for familiar ties or because they have dual citizenship.
He claims 90percent of Americans who wanted to leave already have.
And he contines to offer help to those still in Afghanistan to leave when they wish.
19 TIMES
Biden says that he reached out to Americans in Afghanistan 19 times offering to help them leave the county.
This includes over 2,500 US embassy officials and Afghan translators.
‘SEVERE STRESS AND ATTACK’
Biden says that this mission was meant to operate during “severe stress and attack” which it did.
‘WE WERE READY’
Biden says “we were ready” to intervene while the Afghanistan people watched their government collapse.
This readiness also applies to evacuating American personell and securing the Kabul airport with 6,000 US troops.
PAYING TRIBUTE
Biden paid tribute to the 13 officers who lost their lives and the 20 that were injured in the mission.
LURKING IN THE MIDST
Biden uses his speech to commend the US officials that risked their lives to help Americans exit while the Taliban was “lurking in the midst.”
BIDEN ‘ONLY TALKED ABOUT HIS OWN SON’
Chappell claimed she had stood “5 inches from your face and was letting you know I would never get to hug my son again, hear his laugh.”
She blasted Biden for trying to speak to her about his own son Beau, who served in Iraq before his death in 2015 from a brain tumor.
Biden also previously lost his wife and 13-month-old daughter in a car crash in 1972.
Schmitz also alleged that Biden talked about his own son Beau rather than Jared in his meeting with the president.
ENDED 20 YEARS OF WAR
Biden begins his remarks by saying that 120,000 people were evacuated to safety on Monday.
He goes on to say no other nation other than the US could do it.
BIDEN ‘ROLLED HIS EYES’
Shana Chappell also claimed that the president rolled his eyes when she blamed him for the death of her 20-year-old son Kareem Nikoui, writing in a post “you can not silence me.”
She claimed that Biden then rolled his eyes “like you were annoyed with me” when she spoke to him about her late son.
“I let you know that the only reason I was talking to you was out of respect for my son … u turned to walk away and I let you know my sons blood was on your hands.”
Chappell alleged that Biden then “threw your hand up behind you as you walked away from me like you were saying ‘ok whatever!’”
MOM BLAMES BIDEN CONTINUED
“It seems Instagram took it upon themselves to delete my account because I am assuming it was because I gained so many followers over my son’s death due to Biden’s negligence, ignorance and him being a traitor!” she said in another, posting a screengrab of a message from Instagram saying “Your account has been disabled.”
“I’m gonna assume that Facebook is gonna delete me next! Funny how these leftist one-sided pieces of c**p don’t want the truth to come out! Keep in mind I only posted about my heartbreak over my son.”
She claimed that the social media giant had been flagging posts from her account she made months ago and “sending me notifications that if I kept posting stuff like that they would disable my account!”
“Posts from months ago!!!!! But the real reason they disabled my account is because of this post!” Chappell, a Trump supporter, added.
“Instagram you can not silence me!!! You deleted my account because my sons blood is on Biden’s hands!!
“13 Heros blood is on Biden’s hands!”
GRIEVING MOTHER SAYS SHE WAS CENSORED ON INSTAGRAM
The grieving mother of a US Marine killed by a suicide bomber in Kabul last week has claimed she was censored on Instagram after she blamed Biden for his death.
“Isn’t that cute how the blood of my son is on Biden’s hands and they choose to silence me?” Chappel said in an angered Facebook post on Monday.
