Area Teams Hope To Bring Home Gold

Kearney is once again hosting the NSAA State Cross Country Championships, both the Lexington boys in Class B and the Gothenburg boys in Class C are among the favorites to bring home state titles on Friday. Lexington is looking to repeat as champs and Gothenburg is looking to improve upon a 5th place showing a year ago. Lexington has qualified both of its boys and girls teams. KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen spoke this week with both coaches. After winning its District title last week Lexington head coach Sam Jilka likes how things are setting up for the Minutemen.
