Friend, Neb. — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – an annual campaign that aims to educate the public on the importance of early screening, testing and treatment for breast cancer. Linda Gill of Friend, Nebraska, a breast cancer survivor, says one way to build awareness is to display Nebraska breast cancer awareness license plates on your vehicle…
The plate is adorned with a pink ribbon logo and the words — “Breast Cancer Awareness” and “Early detection saves Lives.” Gill says there are over 7,000 vehicles in Nebraska that carry breast cancer awareness license plates.
