WASHINGTON, D.C.— U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement ahead of Memorial Day, which is observed Monday, May 29th.
“This weekend we celebrate Memorial Day, and while many people consider it the kickoff to summer, above all, it’s a day to pause and honor our fallen soldiers. America is the land of the free and home of the brave because of the men and women who stepped up when the U.S. was at some of its most difficult points in history. We’re so thankful to the heroes who fought and gave their all to keep America free. To everyone in the First District and across the country, have a great Memorial Day.”
