Columbus- It turned out to be a great week for two area schools at the NSAA state girls tournament. Broken Bow won its 3rd straight Class C title, while fellow SWC member Minden finished second. The Indians score of 688 is the second best score ever recorded at the C state tournament. Leading Broken Bow was Camryn Johnson who finished second with a two day total of 156. Taylor Schaaf and Lainey Palmer tied for 7th by shooting 176. Lainey Palmer shot a 180 which tied for 13th. Skylar Bejamin carded a 190 which tied for 28th. Head coach Kelly Cooksley talks about their finish to a great season.
For Minden, the Whippets finished second with a team score of 726. KayLynn Jorgensen led Minden with a 3rd place finish as she fired a 160. Callie Whitten and Kara Suchsland each tied for 16th by shooting 181. Brynn Smith finished tied for 52nd with a 204.
