A mobile home was destroyed in a Sunday morning fire just off South Adams Street in Lexington. Lexington Asst Fire Chief Dahlas Holbein says they were called around 7:00 am. As they were enroute to the scene, firefighters were advised that there was heavy fire throughout the trailer. After arrival, Holbein says firefighters took a defensive attack to protect adjacent homes.
All occupants of the home escaped safely and there were no injuries. Holbein says they suspect the case was electrical in nature, possibly due to wall heaters. The Lexington Police Department and Dawson County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
A GoFundMe has been set-up for the family.
