More information released on Elm Creek altercation

    More information was released late Monday afternoon on a weekend disturbance at an Elm Creek exotic dancing business called Paradise City.  The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were summoned to the scene at 12:31am Sunday.  There were several physical assaults by multiple individuals in the parking lot of Paradise City.  A 29-year-old Houston, TX man, Richard Rios, received a gunshot wound to the lower torso.  But, it was not known at the time of the issuance of the press release as to whether the shooting was accidental or intentional.  An earlier news release indicated Rios was transported by private vehicle to Lexington Regional Health Center and later transferred to another medical facility with non-life threatening injuries

    Also injured in the disturbance was a 38 year old North Platte, NE man and a 49 year old Elwood, NE man.  No arrests at this time, the investigation remains ongoing.

     Deputies were assisted by members of the Nebraska State Patrol and Dawson County Sheriff’s Office.   Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office at 308-236-855 or Crime Stopper at 308-237-3424.

    Buffalo County Assessor’s records indicate the Paradise City property is owned by Shane Harrington of Omaha and an entity called Meltech, inc.  A Secretary of State record indicates that Meltech, inc is involved in web design and modeling and also lists Paradise City as an associated entity.
