Kearney-Replacing an All American is never easy but that was the task facing UNK setter Peyton Neff going into this season. The red-shirt Freshman from North Platte is following in the steps of Loper great Maddie Squires. In fact Squires is now an assistant coach for the Lopers and works closely with Neff. To this point in the year Neff has met the challenge head on helping the Lopers to a 22-2 record and a top ten national ranking. This week Neff spoke with KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen.
For the season Neff has helped UNK lead the league with a 273 hitting average, she has 900 assists and 22 aces. Neff also has 177 digs and 29 blocks for the Lopers who lead the MIAA standings with six regular season games to go. Neff has also excelled in the classroom earning a MIAA Excellence Award for a 4.00 GPA.
