The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reports a one-vehicle accident southwest of North Platte around 3:15 pm Monday afternoon.
It occurred at an intersection on South Buffalo Road as a jeep, driven by 70-year-old Edward G. Johnson of North Platte, veered off the roadway into some trees.
Investigators believe Johnson had a medical issue and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
