North Platte, Neb. – The North Platte Police Department has concluded the formal investigation of a potential threat that was made to Adams Middle School on Sunday, August 28. After a thorough investigation, the department cannot corroborate that a threat was made to the school.
“The North Platte Police Department would like to thank those who reported their concerns to the police department. Additionally, we want to thank those who answered our questions throughout the investigation,” said Officer Jeremiah Johnson.
North Platte Public Schools superintendent Dr. Todd Rhodes expressed his gratitude for the NPPS and NPPD teams’ work investigating this accusation’s validity. Rhodes added, “we aim to educate students in a safe and caring environment and will not tolerate any act of violence or threat against any student or staff member.”
Johnson added, “if anyone has first-hand information about this or any other school safety concerns, please call the North Platte Police Department at 308-535-6789.”
