Ogallala, Neb. — The Ogallala Volunteer Fire Department was paged Monday shortly after 4 a.m. for a structure fire. Mutual aid was requested from Keystone-Lemoine Fire & Rescue, Paxton, Brule and Regional West agencies. The initial call said three structures were on fire and a fourth was heat-damaged. A structure and a garden shed were destroyed, while two other structures were damaged by heat. Three people were treated and transported from the scene, while a firefighter was transported due to an injury. The Nebraska State Fire Marshall is investigating the blaze.
