Overton, Neb. — First responders were called around 7:45 a.m. to a semi rollover on westbound Interstate 80 about 4 miles east of Overton. It was reported that two males had minor injuries. They were transported to a medical facility, but their injuries were thought to be minor.
It was reported after the accident that flames were coming from the cargo area of the truck. The fire was extinguished but continued to smoke and smolder. Overton Volunteer Fire Department was initially called, but Lexington Volunteer Fire Department and Elm Creek Volunteer Fire Departments were also believed to have been called. A guardrail on the north-side of Interstate-80 was damaged in the incident.
Several agencies assisted and arrangements were being made to have a wrecker come to the scene.
