A National Transportation Safety Board investigator is expected to arrive Thursday on the scene of a small airplane crash in Lincoln County.
It occurred around 9:29 am Wednesday morning about 5 miles west of Maxwell in the area of Interstate 80.
The NTSB said a Piper PA56-500TP crashed on approach followed by a fire.
No additional information was released, including the number of occupants onboard. The Nebraska State Patrol is assisting in the investigation.
