Loomis Public Schools announced this week that former UNK Center and Kearney native David Squiers will be the school’s new athletic director and boys head basketball coach next year. He will also serve as the schools K-12 Physical Education Teacher. Squiers spoke this week with the Rural Radio Networks Jayson Jorgensen about this move.
Squiers has spent the last four years as a teacher and an assistant coach at Cozad high school. He replaces Drew Billeter who is headed to Southwest Public schools to take over as superintendent next year.
