Study Shows Bald Males May Have a Higher Risk of Heart Disease, Some Ideas to Help

In modern society, many people suffer from hair loss. Studies have shown that hair loss is not only related to scalp health but may also be associated with coronary heart disease risk. Chen Hsin Hung, a Traditional Chinese Medicine physician at Taiwan’s Joyful HAN Chinese Medicine Clinic, wrote an article to remind the public to pay attention to the problem of baldness.
Tomohide Yamada, a scholar at the University of Tokyo, published a study in 2013 through an integrated analysis of multiple surveys including 37,000 respondents, which found that patients with severe male pattern baldness had a 32 percent higher risk of coronary heart disease than others, while young male pattern baldness (55 or 60 years old) had a 44 percent increased risk of coronary heart disease….
