North Platte — A one-vehicle crash in Lincoln County involving a vehicle that left the road, rolled and struck a tree, left three juveniles with injuries ranging from serious to critical-life threatening. The accident was reported to the Lincoln County 9-1-1 Center Monday at 9 p.m. The crash occurred east of Crane View road on South River Road, between North Platte and Hershey.
Sheriff’s Deputies and North Platte Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and found the driver of the vehicle was a seventeen-year-old from North Platte. The driver had serious injuries and was removed from the vehicle and transported to Great Plains Health in North Platte. The front seat passenger had very serious injuries and was identified as a thirteen year old from North Platte. The front seat passenger was transported from the scene and to Great Plains Health and later to Omaha for additional treatment. The rear passenger was identified as a twelve year old who had critical life-threatening injuries. The rear seat passenger was transported to Great Plains Health and to Omaha for additional treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor. The names of the juveniles are not being released at this time.
